This is yummy,silly ebay...

If it has the H.P. he says it does, I`ll bet it can rip the spokes right out of those wire wheels. But ................ Yellow?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm ......... ICK! {The flying Banana}
Looking at those windshield pillars, I wonder just how much bondo is in the body panels.

I wonder if you have to take the hood off to check the oil????????

Looks like the hood was hacked up to fit the scoop (see the ragged edges inside the scoop).

Looks like the WHOLE CAR was hacked up to fit [expletive deleted] idea of "American reliability"...

IMO: "reserve not met, but value exceeded."

Tinster might not be an expert on Triumphs
but the Crypt Car had a similar looking paint
job hiding all kinds of major problems.

The windshield pillars raised a big red flag
for me. The dark, dingy, dirty engine compartment
indicates a not well maintained engine to me.

The cockpit looks shabby and not cleaned very well.

I think this is a "Flash" car probably being
sold by DPO Pedro's cousin.

I'll betcha $1000. hard cash I could find serious
rust hidden all over the place under that buggy.

But ................ Yellow?

Geez,....That's the only thing I liked about it!

And for it to be "comlete" they should change the stag emblem onna grill to an impala... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Serious question...

what is with the rear lights? i'm not sure if i like the look due to the hideous car it's on, but it looks to be an interesting change and well worth looking into for me...

does anyone know what it is or what it could be?

What a shame, with only about 2,800 sent to the US this clown took a collectable and turned it into not even a great parts car.

Have the rear lights been changed? They look like stock Stag tail lights to me. I guess I'll go out to the driveway and see what the ones on the back of mine look like.

I'd love to go drive the tar outta that, then give it back. I hate trying to work on frankenstien monster cars. You spend more time trying to figure out what year AMC uses the same conversion bracket to fit the ford starter on the chevy tranny than actually doing any constructive work.
I'd definatly be worried about those wires with 600+ horse pumping into the hubs.
It'd be a fun bomber if I knew I'd never have to work on it.

Hmmm, only 600 miles and it's on the auction block???
..there's a story somewhere in that.

If the gear ratios are not setup correctly, driving at highway speed can leave you with a V8 turning out 3K rpm. Not alot of fun in a car that small.

I agree about tearing up the rear spoke wheels. Sure it would look completely uncool to be cruising down the street on the rear tires flopping around the hubs....

The oil dripping makes it a true american driveline!

The weather is getting nice in New Mexico - time to starting cruising!

They look like the originals to me as well. No change there.

ok....i guess they are original. never looked too close at a stag and i always assumed we all used the same rear lights, and mine don't come with a nice cover. the stag also looks to curve a bit, which means they really aren't the same.

so...just ignore me.

You're forgiven! There was quite the "corporate" styling theme going on with Triumphs at that time. Of course, save for the TR6, all Triumphs available then had been styled (or restyled/freshened up) by Michelotti, so that makes sense that they would share some essential styling cues....
