Sure sounds good to me !!! We're looking at them.

I've owned a '92 Miata since '99. I put an Eaton supercharger in it to take care of the low power. Other then a timing belt change, some brake work and a new clutch (several weeks after the blower installation  ), the car has been incredibly reliable. Oh, I also had to put in a new battery after the original crapped out in 2008.

My Miata still has it's original battery (11 years old). Winter is almost here and it's still cranks nicely.

Yesterday was my boss's birthday. His kids bought him a nice, first-generation Miata as a present. He's delighted with it! (he's driven mine and has admired it for a long time)

One nice thing about Miata engines: they are "non-interference".
This means that if the cam belt snaps, you don't bend all the valves. So while changing the cam belt regularly is always a good idea, it's not as critical as with many other cars.

Like Scott, I have an MGB. I agree that the two cars are different. I'm not sure I like sitting in one over the other. The Miata has a roll-bar that slightly limits back-rake. I will say I prefer the smaller steering wheel on the Miata, I like the seats in the Mazda better and the pedals on the MGB are harder to heal & toe. It would be pretty simple to improve all that stuff in the MGB, but it's stock and I'm leaving it like that for now.

Me too !!! : )

Scott- surprised the seats don't feel as comfortable. I put Miata sliding headrest seats in the SP250 and they are just as comfortable and about the same height. I do need to tilt the back a couple clicks to avoid being too straight up, but that's what the adjustment is for. My wife has had 3 back surgeries and likes the upright seating better than the old Daimler seats.

It's not so much just the seats as the way the seating is set up in the car. Between the steering, dash placement, seat rails, and seat, the net effect is the feeling that you're sitting on top of something.

That was a common issue when I got my Miata. A lot of people on the forums were carving the foam on the seat-bottoms to drop them down a little. I reshaped mine a little but not much - I think an inch more travel rearward would make a bigger difference but that's just not possible.
