About 55 miles away. It could be the twin of Maggie.( although she's in better shape.) I might just do it, but I'd be flat broke afterwards.

Look how solid it is. You don't see these things down here. I DEFINATLY don't need it. My car is better and a rock solid driver. I've wanted to get another so I can restore Maggie and still have something to drive. Only problem, it would clean me out for now. I was thinking $1,500, as that's what I paid for Maggie. I don't think the car will last long in the area it's in.

Odd that they just give side views of the nose.....with missing bumper, sidelights, and grille.


As high as rubber bumpers sit, look at the side view, the nose looks substantially higher than it should.

Maybe it's lack of grille weight, eh?

You laugh, but that stupid ruber bumper weighs probably cloe to 100#s. When I had mine off the car sat higher.
I went back and lookked at it again. The front cap has been paintred or changed at some point. This might explain the missing bumper. It's probably been hit. Thank God! Now I feel better.

seems pricey to me. and, while it does seem tastefully customized - gauges in speaker grille, new shift knob, different wheel, various color hoses - I'm always a little nervous of mods I don't make. also paint fading + Indiana tags says I'm nervous about floorboards a-arms.

Y'all are right. I just get a little over jubilant when stuff is that close to me. You NEVER see anything around here. I've only seen 4 cars for sale in 7 years and one was mine. This one makes four and the other two were rougher than this one. Folks store 'em outside here and it's not too before they are junk. I looked at a total piece of crap for parts and the guy wanted $500.

Stu and Tom's car are the only other two Midgets I've seen on the road.

( I kinda like it that way.)

Well, now that you've ruled it out for yourself, you HAVE to go look at it because with all the connections here, there might be someone who knows someone who'd really like this car. :devilgrin:

At least that's what I keep telling my SO.... :angel:

Oh, you bet your arse I'm gonna look at it !!!!

I'm tryin' to find it a home. I just hope it's not near me, as everyone is gonna think it's my car, OR WORSE, they are gonna think I'm drivin' someone else's car. Someone thought that at our wedding and I was VERY upset.

Here's another west coast value... same price, much nicer car. You can even drive it home! If you're gonna go broke, you might as well get the most for your money. This car has been on CL for quite a long time. I'm sure he'd come down on that price. Layoff forces sale....he must be motivated to sell it.

You might want to buy this one just to get the "automatic transmission." This is the first one I have seen that has one.

Yeah, no body damage....left front wing hit fairly hard, enough to oblong out the headlight opening.

Bonnet stuffed.
Hard to tell on the tail below the bot lid with all the rust.......yeah, restorable will ALL new body panels!
