This has bugged me a while...

'stash for the last 20 years. Had a full beard a couple of years ago but tired of it in the spring. Still only shave twice, maybe three times a week depending on what I have to do or where I have to be seen.

Due to work & being a volunteer firefighter -
(when you use air bottles, you can't have a beard),
I haven't been there.
Besides,I might embarress my Wife ( can I get any-
uglier?).

Well, I'm one. I stopped shaving when I got out of the army in '70. I only shaved it off on one occasion...the day I got married. I immediately grew it back. Here's me driving and my buddy Dave, also an LBC fan, on my TR3's maiden voyage.

Edit: BTW, the goggles are made by Halcyon. The same company that made them for the RAF in WWII to the same specs. I got them from Aircraft Spruce.

That picture is great!

Sigh, me too! I grew a goatee after I retired from the Air Force. After about 7 years of having it, I decided to shave it off one day. As soon as my wife and son saw me with a neek-ed face they bust into laughter! I grew it back.

The question was "How many of us are 40+ and sport facial hair?!?!"

Looks like quite a few of us have facial hair. I don't see any answers about the 40+ PART...

I could have been a bit kinder-gentler and phrased it: "How many are at least as old as the car they own..."

thats mucho better.and i will be the first to admit to being 40+...lol

I'm 59 and I work in a Pharmacy.
They have a dress code for me that says clean shaven.
Besides, I'm supporting my millionaire of choice, (Gillette).

Since '78. I'm lazy.

How many have pony tails?

Pony tails?
Not for me... a better alternative would be a solar collector :jester:

I grew this sucker last summer and had a pony tail, both now gone, the beard drove me nuts, itchy, scratchy, high maintance, guess it was all the bugs.

location; Zia cliff dwellings NM.

My '62 could be my child, except that I'm probably the child in the relationship.

No to the pony tail. You know whats under the pony's tail.

moustache for 25 years....then beard for 10...then goatee for 5...now clean shaven...found out I look just like my ol'man did at my age and still feelin' naked.

OK, I'm in the "old silver chin" club too. This time only since 2004 when I changed to a job that allows one. I let it get pretty bushy in the winter, but normally keep it short in the summer.

*Edit* And I'm a bit older than the car.. I used to have one made the same week, month and year as I was born...

Under 40 here (3 years to go), and my car is 13 years older than I am. No beard at all, though I did have a really scraggly goatee for a short period about 10 years ago. Was pretty pitiful, really.
