Got th' coal, JP.
The M/C R&R went like this:
Pull reservoir off, catch as much fluid as possible in a container. Break loose the three hard lines and then the two nuts holding the miscreant cylinder to the booster.
At this poind I bench-bled the new M/C (I ain't tellin' just HOW this was done, as it needs not mentioning, enviromentally speaking). Pulled the old piece away from the booster and discover'd it was not only leaking externally from the front rezzie chamber grommet, but also dumping into the booster.
YUK!!! :madder:
Had a piece of vinyl tubing about ten inches long, stuffed it into the booster full of fluid and siphoned as much as it would allow, then a 60CC one-use syringe and hose to suck out more. Threw the new M/C on it with the rezzie already situated and had Herself SLOWLY depress the pedal after I'd put all the lines back on, tightened down then backed out about one turn... when fluid began oozing from each fitting they got snugged down, No air in the lines, no bleeding the system.
It now has clamps than are better than it has had in years.
But I know that booster is gonna need replacing soon.
