this could get me in trouble....

heheheeee... you got it BAAAD, don't-cha!?!?

looks like a good deal, if I had the kind of time to do that sort of thing I would be all over it. but alas, I'm a very busy man. I say if you can get it rob go right ahead

Let's face it, it would be foolish NOT to buy such a good deal. You pretty much have to buy it, or you are just throwing your money away.

130 HP engine....wish I had even 90.

I will be towing down to Summit Point in 3 days and will be very near where that car is......but, no, no, NO!
I do not need two race cars! (still, it ain't a bad deal... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif )

if I had the cash, it would be bid on right now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think we all need to pressure Nial at this point /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

YEAH!! C'mon Nial! *100+HP!* Sort it out this season *100+HP!* and by next year *100+HP!* you would be in a position *100+HP!* to sell off the current one to Rob *100+HP!* and he could get his feet wet *100+HP!* with a proven car! *100+HP!*

-- subliminal messages are s'posed to be REAL effective /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

it's so close to your route to Summit too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

PS - 130 HP!

Seriously, though... is it even possible that car has 130HP with what looks to my untrained eye to be stock carbs and head. "Dooooooon't yoouuuuu believe it!"

I wuz -very- cautious to not over-estimate the output, y'see. It IS a *bit* nebulous, but 100 HP* is not outta the question.

Morris is correct.

We have one 120 HP, 1275 Spridget in EMRA and the motor in that car cost more than this car (that car races in a diffrent class than me, obviously)

It's possible, but I'd have to see the dyno sheet to really believe this.

*ibid

As Nial said about the 1275, it's possible but the cubic dollars to make it so would be a heavy burden. Easily in excess of the car's worth.

Absolutely Doc /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif

In SCCA 130-150 (flywheel)is not uncommon, it is also expensive (in the area of 10k +). Of course reliability is a factor and seasonal rebuilds.

Also alot of mods can be done to stock carbs as well. Squaring off, bridging etc. to increase the cfm flow.

Nial,

As you're going to the race track, why don't you see if you can take it for a "test drive" for the weekend,& if you like it,you'll buy it.
