Plowable snow forecast here for Sunday night so that's it for me too.

It's officially the start of the winter projects season.
New wiring harness and maybe pull the head and freshen it too.

Hey I from Iowa originally, just outside Sioux City.
We did a lot of hunting and such, in the wind and snow. We used to say IOWA stood for Id---s Out Walking Around! LOL

I lived there a few years myself but over nearer Iowa City & Amana.
Winter was the best time, IMO, because you could see the trees for the corn. Summertime, all you could see was corn (except for an occasional bean field).

I bet Iowa has some awesome roads to drive on

Ha!
My last drive was 3 weeks ago.
That's when the snow came!

nice photo. yes parts are beautiful, parts are flat and full of corn and beans. easy to find a road by yourself. i'm in cedar rapids, east central ia by iowa city. northeast iowa and sw wisconsin are great driving. i think i will leave work and drive now before iowa takes any more cheap shots.

I'll bet THAT BEAUTIFUL IOWA COUNTRYSIDE set him back down their in PR....Hey! i was stationed at Ramey AFB PR you know where that is? chocked full of B52's....No Spitfires tho.

I have a work counterpart who is in St Cloud MN. Hey I work for the post office, I got counterparts everywhere!

Anyway, she sent an email today saying that it would be in the teens, how soon was I retiring so she could bid my job.

I told her how terrible things were going to get here tonight---all the way down to 32.

Look at it this way, you get several months of uninterupted shop time.

The problem is you have to have a heated shop....not cheap. The good news is there's plenty of reason to go on vacation in the winter.....south.....but not to Iowa.

heres your corn field. photo was last friday on the usual long way home. it's actually about 2 miles east of edgewood road for those with relatives here. first photo i've taken of it all summer. it was a great drive. i did bury cable and phone to the garage but only heat is carharts.

Carthart insulated coveralls are great but kinda bulky. Wear 'em here too for snowblowing!

Speaking of that foul word, we got about half an inch, with ice. Just enough to bring out the salt trucks.

Beautiful, just friggin beautiful!!

I am biting my tongue....or is it my fingers... not to
make some corny remark here. I really do not mean to
say anything nasty at all about the State....

Just can't help but pun on corny. Happiness is bean
in Iowa, right? Sorry, I can't help myself, I just
can't help myself!
