Thirteen Years Ago Today

I didn't stumble. Back in 2004 I was desperately seeking advice on buying my first LBC (a rubber bumper MGB). I think BCF came up in an AltaVista search.

First time I contacted Basil, I said "Dear Mr. Fawlty".

Late bloomer, me. I was ~HUNTING~ Col. Barnhill. Emailing him at the addy for his website as much as a year before. He came up in a search in '05 as being on the forum. Tracked him here.

Penance for past ill deeds
Still serving time

I was right behind Steve by a month or two. (he's the original Steve with about a gazillion various other "Steves" afterwards......I'm still the only Nial).

By the by, it lists you as joining in Jan 2002. That's 11 years, no? In any event, where has the time gone!?!

Not only that, if you look at the bottom of the main forum page it says the site has been in existence for only 12 years, 7 days, 12 hours and 56 minutes. As of NOW

Since Steve joined a year before the site went live, he must be the mysterious member #1. Explains why Basil is member #2 anyways.

It also says today is Steve's Birthday! Happy Birthday! Quite a shindig you put on all over the world last night!

Yeah! Wot Greg said!

What is a birthday without cake?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Steve, Happy Birthday to you.

That's all my singing for the day.

Happy Birthday Steve. I'm another one that stumbled here after reading an ad in British Car Magazine. I thought the forum was connected to the magazine when I first joined.

Sure - blame it on Tony.
