Thinking I need to buy a mortar...

I've heard it is a felony to have a spud gun.
California laws :smirk: I'm not surprised.

So far as I know...
It's still legal to shoot shot puts out of 6" well casing here

(Our area Redneck, Jr. artillery program that used to go on at the local strip mine)

Here is one for ya. When I lived in C,C, Texas the upstairs apartment dwellers used to turn thier {Asian} music on @ about 150+ decibles THEN LEAVE! More than once I went to thier MAIN fuse box and did a dsatardly deed. {Turned of thier main breaker}. On one occasion {they were home} I turned my onkyo 300 watts per channel {5 channel} surround sound up to about 200+ decibles and commenced to play George Thorogood {Bad to the Bone} then patiently watched out my window until I saw management coming my way, then I turned it off. Once the Apt managers arrived and knocked on my door {the upstairs neighbors music was still playing and loudly} I politely told her {the manager} she was mistaken if she thought the loud music was coming from me and that all she had to do was open her ears and she would immediately see {Hear} where the problem was.
BUT ...... even these measures {And numorus others} did no good! The music presisted and I finally moved. I sold my Onkyo sound system to the very young punk rocker next door before I left, 18 inch Polk sub and all. What comes around goes around!

"Turned off their main breaker"

You mean the circuit breaker panels were accesible to anyone??? wow that could have precipitated into a virtual "rolling blackout "

 I like it!

600 yards is pretty good for only 3 oz of powder.

I think we were using 1 1/2 pounds per shot.
(but the shot puts were going through engine blocks  )

I used to have a neighbor that complained all the time.

Eventually I ended up getting a great deal on her house

Yea, Oddly enough for sure. All of the electrical meters for our building {8 apartments} {one building in the complex of many!} were on an outside wall just to the left side of my patio. Each meter had it`s own breaker. And they were numbered at that.
The best part of apartment living at least in that complex, other than obnoxious tennents was MUSICAL PARKING PLACES! {as in the game musical chairs}
Hopefully NEVER AGAIN, will I be forced into that situation

I know how to build makeshift mortars for 1 round use....you can even emplace it somewhere - aim - & walk away...it'll fire & land without you even there!

Tony.... we musn't tell 'im about foo gas....

naaaah.
