Think you wife isn't smart?

Makes me proud of my adopted home state of Utah...

Hey, let's at least give her partial-credit for creative attempts to link MPH to her running speed or tire rotations. :eeek:

Don't have it handy, but there is a HILARIOUS follow-up defence of this woman (by another blonde) on YouTube. "Calculators are scary inside."

P.S. - found it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alkX2l92eRg&feature=related (though I can't believe she's not joking)

That guy should ask his wife "Which weighs more, a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers?"

I'll bet that video would get almost 4 MILLION views too!

 If she's joking, she's a darn good actress...an Academy Award performance!

I think everyone is missing the obvious.

She blond

Hehehe... well, my wife is blond, and pretty smart (though I did get her to stand next to this sign in central France). :cooler:

DUDE, you were in France and had your wife stand next to a sign that says "Mount the blond" with an arrow pointing at her ?!?!?!?!?

BLONDE: "Excuse me, what time is it right now?"

WOMAN: "It's 11:25PM."

BLONDE: (confused look on face) "You know, it's the weirdest thing, I've asked that question thirty times today, and every time someone gives me a different answer."

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE IT!! pj

The only thing that makes this thread bearable is in my mind the blonde is a male with a great body.

That was the secondary joke.

Ba dum dum TISH

:cryin:Ok, I have asked the math question of 5 people,

3 out of 5 got it wrong,
my bride being the first out of the 5.

Her answer was started with,
"well, if you go 60 mph then its going
to take you 80 minutes"

As I shook my head in disbelief,
I proceeded to ask several neighbors the same question,
2 got it right, 1 did not know how to figure up the time
per mph, and the 5th started with "do you have to go 80 mph
because I am terrible at math and this sounds like a
trick question".

Heres your sign! :wall:

Might be time to ask them who's buried in Grant's tomb... or I rather like that "which weighs more, 100 pounds of iron or feathers?"
:yesnod:

This actually IS a trick question - Mr. AND Mrs. Grant are buried in Grant's Tomb.

When was the War of 1812?
What was the color of George Washington's white horse?

This whole topic reminds me of one of my favorite old mind-teasers.

A driver is assigned to average 60mph over 2 laps of a track. Each lap is 1 mile. On his first lap, he averages 30 mph. What speed must he average on his second lap to achieve an overall average of 60mph?

(If you approach it correctly, the answer is obvious in about 5 seconds.)

John , your suppose to put that little box underneath with the answer in it.
Don't know where it is ,think the boss uses it and hides it.

Not possible. 60mph over 2 miles = 2 minutes to complete for an average of 60 mph. His first lap (of one mile) at only 30mph took 2 minutes, so he'd have to do the second lap in 0 minutes to make the averages work out...
