Donna Mae became the first female SCCA champion in this car in 1963, outfitted in her trademark pink driving suit. The Sprite was formerly owned by Dr. Jonas Salk, inventor of the polio vaccine who used to drive it on the streets of Pittsburgh.

Price is not for the faint of heart or light of wallet: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/austin_healey/sprite/1584059.html

Did any of her other race cars survive? Looks like she campaigned a pink MGB as well.

Hope it ends up in a good museum with, hopefully, other British cars of significance.

Kurt.
