Things to Do/See in Pennsylvania?

That's th' stuff, alright. We hit 90°F yesterday down here. Pleased to be FROM that area. 😉

As for Pittsburgh "things to do and see," are there still tours of the Heinz plant? Is there even a Heinz plant IN Pittsburgh anymore? Someplace here I've still got a souvenir "pickle pin" from one of the tours we'd taken when I was a kid. And the Isaly's company had tours then too.

Kind of what our son told us of the USNA (Naval Academy) -
"It's a good place to be from, not at".

I was thinking more of scenic places to see,as my Wife will be
with me,& maybe our 17 year old Granddaughter. And since I gave up
drinking,tours of breweries are out.
I was thinking Jim Thorpe would be a scenic town to visit.

One thing that might appeal to an all-ages could be Kennwood Park - very traditional amusement park that a selection of century-old (or very close to it) wooden coasters. Its fairly close to Pittsburgh f I remember correct but I have not been there for quite a while - my sister lives up there and has mentioned that its still an up and running park.

You just made me remember a very special place. It’s called Renaissance Fair. Somewhere near Allentown or Philadelphia.
It is a replica and reenactment of a medieval village. The workers and actors are all around you and never come out of character, even their speech. I believe it is part of a summer theater troop. You can walk down the cobbled streets eating a large Turkey leg, or buy a fake musket or sword and shield. The village includes shops of all kinds and blacksmith working their magic. Their are also puppet shows in the avenues and a full stage show at certain times. It was very enjoyable for us adults and the kids. I have to say it has been years seems we have been there. But I just checked they still have a web site.

And hey, Williamsport, Pa. Is the home of the Little League World Series. Ask me how I know.

Phila Museum of the American Revolution, Mutter Museum, Franklin Museum, just too many to name them all.

If you arehere on June 4 the Hope Lodge in Ft Wahington Brtish Car Show and Red Mill(ClintonNJ) and June 12 Hellerrtown British Car Show.

Hey, if anyone goes to that show, I've a favor to ask. Please Go HERE and print some BCF Cards to hand out to people at the show. When you get to that page, you click the orange button in the upper-right to download the cards as a .pdf file. They can be printed on standard 10-card perforated business card stock, or any still card stock will do and you can just cut out the cards.

I just remembered another one. It’s Penns Cave. A large watery underground cave with selagtites and stelagmites you travel thru it by boat. The kids would love it. It’s about half way between Williamsport and State College (Penn State Unv).

Hey I just noticed another thing to do…..Enjoy the sun. Here’s the same pic, a little different than a week ago. It’s 78 degrees now. The wife and I just took a 3 hr spin up into the mountains in the Vette. I know shoulda, woulda, coulda taken the Healey. Next time.
