Things I Found In My LBC

A few weekends ago when replacing the back board in my boot I found a Lucas key fob tool that resembles a key but is a screwdriver and distributor points-gap gauge. This was partailly under the gas tank and was painted into the matal. Who lost it, factory worker?
TRF shows this as a part #500905 just advertized this past weekend

I saw TDSkip's seat cover "find" and thought that we should have a dedicated topic

To add to this when I resurected my 4A from storage 3 years ago, I found a socket wrench still on a nut under the hood from my last attempt to start the car 10 years ago (no doubt left in frustration.)

Please add your finds!

Always fun to relate "treasures" found in restorations.

The only interesting find I had was in the TR3 I did a while back. Pulled the front fenders, and there was a good deal of beach sand...

...and a dental exploration tool. On the bumper were the remnants of a sticker from Bethesda Naval Hospital (at least, I think that's what it said). Maybe a previous owner was a dentist?

While putting a vintage license plate on this summer I found I wrench I had "lost" years earlier, apparently the last time I swapped license plates. It was resting on top of the bumper behind the license plate bracket ... you think it would have fallen off and really lost after all this time, but there it was. And yet any piece of hardware I drop on the garage floor disappears forever ... where does all that stuff go?

I found a hidden set of keys in a magnetic holder. Not so exciting,
huh? But just the fact it looked like it had been there so long.

PS: Had a few of those nuts, bolts and washers go into the cosmos as well.

Kodanja looks to be winning so far with that galaxy he found in his TR6. Beats my old screwdriver to pieces anyway.

All I found was rust.

Years ago, while removing the intake manifold from a Chevy V8, I found a craftsman 1/2" ratchet, laying in the valley.
I could barely see it for all the sludge, and was amazed when I pulled it out.

FYI - in case anyone is wonder yes Kodanja did in fact stop by and help me, um, dispose of my seat find before posting here...

To add to an earlier thread; A spare key, a separate screwdriver/keychain (non BL), a spare light-bulb (non LBC or BL for that matter) and a wooden fork for take-out fondue. I have included the fork in my tool roll, you never know when you may need one!

Good Times

No finds in my LBC, but when I was a young A&P mechanic, I had to go up to the number 2 engine to service the motor. When I opened the cowl, I heard a rattling, so I located to being behind a fire panel. I stuck my mirror up there, and found a nice Snap-On flat blade screwdriver that had obviously been in there for quite a while. I cleaned it off, and looked for some ID marks, none were there. After posting it in the lost and found tools area after 30 days, my boss told me that it was mine if I wanted it.

Only thing I've found, other than some change, has been a few hemostats and "squeeze to open" tweezers. All I assume used as roach clips.

In my MGB GT, under the driver's seat, I found:

1) Two golf balls
2) A bong (complete with "aromatic" smell)
3) Several long hairpins
4) An old, bright red, lipstick
5) A receipt for a manicure

This guy was in the trunk of Speed Racer along with half the engine and several pounds of pine needles.

Dead mouse under the seat... no need to post the picture... the one previous is much better than mine!

I found an incorrect coil installed, fan blade mounted backwards and very leaky carbs when I first got the TR4.
