Earlier today I was perusing the Ebay marketplace and found a set of backplates suitable to mount to HS4 or HIF4 carbs then push on a pair of K&N cones.
I happened on an auction for a pair of these being sold by 'Britishmasters'. They were listed as a set for 1.25 inch carbs.
"What Ho??" I said to myself
So I sent them a message stating that to my knowledge no such thing was devised at the factory for the 1.25 inch carb and what they had there must surely be for the 1.5 inch HS4.
Surely enough, they actually measured the item and sent me a nice note:
