Thanks for the heads up. Doesn't the proposed bill only apply to cars using "collector" plates? (pioneer, classic car, collector, street rod, military, and classic motorcycle plates.) If the owners just registers as a "car" and doesn't buy collector plates, would the car then be excluded?

Also interesting to me - the bill doesn't appear to say why the proposed law is necessary. Or am I missing something?

Classic cars could still be registered as normal cars and driven as such.

If this is a tax question, then perhaps the state should eliminate the “free” registration (one-time payment to register a classic car, no annual renewals) for classic plates.
