I don't save receipts and I don't check things good enough when I receive them and I am not one to take or send things back that often. Not only did I get the wrong head gasket, but I got some male tenax studs that won't work with the tenax snaps that I have. I filed one down and made it work, but dang. Today I just went to have a key made. Took the blank with the MG crest on it and my midget key. Guess what, that 8 dollar blank is a dud. Its like the mirror opposite of the key for my MG. So, here I am. One ignition key and one gas cap key and luckily two door and trunk keys came with the new lock sets. I guess I have to be careful and not lose that key.

Kim, let me know when you find the right key blank - I could use one as well.
If you have a pic of the tenax stud you need I'll look in my box & see if I can send you one gratis.

I got my spares made at the local locksmith shop. Cost roughly $5.00 for two.

Ok, I just ordered a couple blanks from Triple-C.
One for the Midget and one for my B.
It will be nice to have spare keys finally.

For what it's worth...I ordered new locks for mine when I was working on it in 2002. I wanted one key, as the ignition key was a brass housekey (DPO!).

Anyway, for $20, I took the ignition cylinder to a locksmith and he keyed it to match the door locks. So, it's all on one key now

Just checking online on an Ilco sight with the pictures. My key is not an MG1, the new blank that I have is an MG1. Mine looks like the mirror image of that one. No luck in town so far with that blank. I do have a number on the key I have. It says Silca NE38P on it. That is the one I need. I wonder if there is a cross reference. I been to several hardware stores that make keys and no one has it.

Does it look like this:

OK, I went to the local wal-mart. Told them it was for a land rover, they tried a few things and said it was a key blank 51R. I got a plastic capped one and they cut it looked close. Worked like a champ  Yes, rick it looks like that key in you photo. Hey, here is a wierd coincedence. That 51R is the same numbers for the battery.
