The wifes new toy

"The Z4 is part of a market segment long associated with thinning hair, sexual overcompensation, and other signs of a grievous midlife crisis. So it's interesting to note that the designers of both the exterior and interior of BMW's latest male-enhancement tool are women. Those women really seem to understand us."

This is my wife's car and I'll have you know, she doesn't have thinning hair!! :hammer:

I wondered if my comment would provide fodder for more interesting dialog and it looks like it succeeded.

Actually, my wife bought the TR6 new in 1974, so she was parts of an even smaller female minority back then. That small count of original female buyers is probably equal to the count of hairs remaining on the top of my head today.

Or it maybe have been more......

Actually the next car would be a 1962 Corvette, but giving up the TR6 isn't likely for a long time. Still a lot of "bling" to add and new things to toy with this summer.

If it ever gets out of the garage. Better finish that remodel!

Looks like another sunny weekend, or at least part of it. If I can get out of the office soon, I may go home and pull the cover off and get it ready to fire up tomorrow, before I come back over here. Another few weeks and I'll be on the road and the golf course again.

Happy anniversary Basil and the Mrs.
Blessings for many more to be shared.

It's raining Don, so at least I don't feel bad with it sitting inside. I have a few new "bling" items to add that I've been collecting over the winter, so one of these days when I feel like spoiling the car, I'll pull it out and install them.

Back to the topic - I've been reading consumer reviews of the Z4 on Edmunds and it seems those who own one really like their Z4. The overall consumer rating for the 2003 Z4 is 9.5. Very few complaints other than lack of interior storage room and cheesy cup holders.

Hey, it beats my 6.... same lack of interior storage and NO cheesy cup holders!
Enjoy the car....errr.... tell you wife to enjoy the car :smirk:

Basil,

One of the guys that I work for is on his second one in three years and he loves it even more than the first one.

I've had the opportunity to drive a couple of 'em. They're quick, fun cars. I've also had the pleasure of piloting a "big brother" Z8... and THAT ain't no "chick car"!!! W00F! Handling was quite similar.

Did they ever get the "cracking frame" issue cleared up on the Z-8?
