A package arrived from TRF and I did not order anything. The wife quickly took the package and said wait til Christmas. She is getting up to speed..............

Dang. Can I send your wife, my wifes phone number?

Have you left any Moss or V/B catalogs laying around for her perusal?

No sense being pinned down to one Santa in the event of back orders.

Just like Ralphie and the Red Ryder BB gun! Just leave a copy of the TRF catalog opened to the desired page, slip it into her Martha Stewart Living (or Cosmo..) and leave it conspicuously propped up on her pillow. Subliminal....

I showed mine the picture of the WAY cool Offenhauser valve cover in the TRF Christmas Catalog.

She actually laughed at me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Santa is going to bring me a bag of sludge this year.

That Offy valve cover is way to tempting. I saw one on ebay several months back and it went for big bucks. Probably an original.

I put the cover on my list and the wife asked me, "Which lump of dirty, greasy, non running iron are you going to put it on and why?"

I said for the future rebuild. She said, "Oh" and that was that. I'm betting it shows up within the next 2 weeks.

The Offenhauser cover on ebay a while ago was a recast one, same as what TRF offers I believe - you can get it directly here:

Offy parts

The initial price of these things was about $190 (price offered to UK TR Register folks) - but perhaps the seller now has higher expectations given the ebay frenzy. They are nice looking.

To be honest, I keep my wife out of any ordering of parts, tools or anything close to automotive..

you know, you could write, show in complete detail, that the part will be ordered incorrectly...

When I asked.. a simple sweater will do..

Although for my Birthday, I did request a new top for the MGA...

so order one..

Boy was that easy for her.
