Hi guys. I'm thinking of making the conversion to negative earth and started researching the issue. It struck me that there is good information scattered all over the web. So I thought it might be useful to start a thread to collect all the information on converting our cars to Negative earth. Please take a look and let me know if you have some info that you think I should include in the first post. If I agree, I'll add it in. If I don't agree, it will still appear in your post below. I hope this thread will be useful to others.

Should you convert your car to negative ground?

Cheap and easy conversion, but no additional power. Simply converting the existing equipment to negative earth. A Healey specific article:

Pros and cons of the simple conversion with lengthy preparation instructions. A general article written by a Sprite guy:

Oh no! What about my electrical tach??? You can convert it yourself:

MORE POWER! Convert to an alternator. The Hendrix kit instructions are here:
https://www.hendrixwirewheel.com/alternator.html

More Power II. Install a Japanese alternator and make your own conversion kit:

Another "do it yourself" conversion with a very nice write-up and description:

More power III. Parts to install a Lucas alternator. Keep it British, mate:

Keeping the regulator as a connection box:

See vette's post on this thread for information on an alternative fuse box:
