Wasn't there someone on this forum doing this conversion? Wonder how it turned out?Any pics advice on how to do it? Anyone remember if it was doable on the TR4A frame with the IRS or was the frame too wide at the back? Karl

I also remember seeing pic's of the body on the frame and just needing finishing! Would love to see how it turned out!

There was someone, but of course they had to widen the TR3 body by welding an insert into panels, apron, bonnet, boot lid, etc.

Couldn't one just widen the wings, like the TR3 Beta? Seems like it would be much easier than widening the bonnet, etc.

Since the outriggers that mount to the body are longer (wider) on a TR4 wouldn't the whole body have to be a couple of inches wider?

Anyway, that is the method I recall seeing posted -- a strip 4" wide or so inserted into the length of the body.

I think ther is a company in England that can supply the the wider fenders. There was one fellow that was widining the body 4' but I think there was another that just used the wider fenders.

Somehow I think modifying the frame might be easier...

Fit the tr4 frame to the tr3 body?

Since the tr4 frame is just a modified tr3 frame,if you were crazy enough , you could retro it pretty easily. The out-riggers are wider but easy to shorten, the frame has bolsters on the sides of the rails in front of the suspension.Plasma tourch time...There are several other minor things but they can be left alone, since they dont bother much.
I guess its better to not ask why this is a question...
