The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Off to the oral surgeon in a few, to have a rotten tooth yanked. That's why I'm on here this morning... got the day off, and I'm killin time. I'll most likley be trollin this afternoon as well, as I sit here munchin on advil.
Oh well.. can't be as bad as when I had all my wisdom teeth pulled. (that smarted)
All is of my own stupidity. Should have gone to the dentist in June when I got the hole in the tooth....
Like Tinster said to me... Change the oil every 3000 miles.... preventative maintenance....

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

I'll try to be here later. For the pain mitigation drill.

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

They might be able to do a root canal.

Either way, good luck.

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Advil??
Ever heard of Naproxin??

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Well.. All went well. Now I got a big gaping hole in my jaw (thankfully twards the back) a mouthfull of gauze and a filled prescription for Tylenol with codeine.
Novocaine is starting to wear off. so far I feel fine, but it's all downhill from here.
Had a good doc, did a nice job and was pleasant.

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Don;

Naproxen is only available by prescription (or quiet street corners)
But boy does it work!

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Whoa! does it feel weird having that big space there. My tongue is confused.

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Sorry Don, two different countries. And, in Canada, the provinces also have a say.
We'll catch up sooner or later.

Ben;

Pretty soon your cheek will also be confused, and sore!
Take lots of medication. Beer counts in this case.

Where has Dale been.? I haven't seen him here in a while.

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

He's round and about. I try and keep in touch through other channels. Dale's a great guy.

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Well your day went better'n mine, Ben. You eliminated a source of irritation. After I logged out this AM I ~thought~ I could swap out a deteriorated pooper flush valve handle and th' "flapper". HA!! Nut on the handle so corroded I applied Weasel Pee to it for a day in advance, got a pair of pump pliers and some snipe-nosed vise-grips on the thing... STILL put that last inch-pound too much on the ceramic. Cracked the bloody tank. Second disaster was that the Spider needs front pads, I have a new set on stand-by... leave the scene of the porcelain crime to revisit it later (meeting at noon). Go jack up the front of the Spider, drift out th' pins, squeeze the puck home with clamp and old pad, new pad is too thick... CHINESE. back in with the old one and off to NAPA before the meeting. Grab the box, go to an hour long nattering session then home to re-pad. NOT SO FAST, SPARKY!!! WRONG PADS!!

By now I just wanna sit in my room and drink CAB 'til tomorrow. Instead it was BACK to NAPA, refund and search the area auto houses. Nope. Call NAPA and order th' things. 'smits called a few minutes ago and has the new "new" pads picked up. We'll see. The saga goes on apace.

Grin, sir. Your day was productive. I have to tell Horsemits she'll be usin' th' 907 as substitute for th' necessary tonight!!!

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

So what your sayin doc is that you can't GO and the Spider can't STOP :jester:
Hang in there it will get better!

Re: The time is now "Tooth-hurty"

Duct tape doc... or super glue.. and the Water closet fixture will hold for now
