The thought of this makes me sick

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I may have to bail out of my 57 TS19909LO project. 7 years and thousands of dollars and hours. What is the best way to maximize my return on this? It's down to hanging the rust free sheet metal, getting the gaps right, filling, blocking, priming and painting, and installing the complete interior. It makes me sick even thinking about this.

Step one: post some pictures here of what we're talking about - frame, body, engine, interior, etc. Then we have a better idea of what to suggest.

Tom

That makes good sense. I need to take a recent photo shoot and read up on posting to the new forum. Thanks

Or just put all the photos on Photobucket or another hosting site and post a link to it. You can get a lot more pics easily loaded that way and those interested can view singly or as a slide show. Same link will serve if you end up on Craigslist, ebaY or other sites.

Just be sure to set up with public access.

Sorry to hear you have to sell out mid-project.

+1 on Photobucket. That will also make it easy to advertise in other places, like the VTR classifieds. Unless it has to be gone within a short time, I wouldn't look to an auction for maximum return.

Do watch out for scams, though. Even "cashier's" checks can be faked, and your bank will expect you to make good on the bad check even if they "clear" it and later discover that it is a fake.

I'll try to get some pictures up by tomorrow. As for my circumstances, thankfully not health related (yet). Basically, a life long friend has committed fraud, is going to jail, and sending me to the poor house because I backed him financially with my business and personal assets. Sadly, in this new economy you cannot trust anyone. It goes against my grain to have to be that way,but it looks like I may have to pay a huge price for my "grain"

That is absolutely rotten. Bad enough when a stranger hurts us, but a trusted friend ... man, what a rotten situation.

Really sorry to hear it. Is there any "insurance" (on his part) or lawsuit process (on your part) open to you?

Tom
