I just spent the last two days getting rid of the creaking rear end in the bugeye. I pulled the leaf springs, disassembled and blasted them, painted with POR 15, greased the layers, and put it back together. I just drove it and no more creaking! A PITA job, but well worth it.

The creaks saw you coming and migrated to the muffler. Tonight, while you're sleeping, they will migrate back, bedding and all.
Trust me. They've done it to me.

They ran to join the creaks in the front end. There has been a creaky party there, so they joined in. Now to save up and get new control arms and other goodies to rebuild that.
I kinda like winter, I actually get something done to the car! In summer all I want to do it drive it, not take it apart.

Creaky Party? After all it is just past Halloween.

You can have it, I've got bad hearing.

The sounds, smells and sights are what makes these things great. Remove all that and you have a Miata.

With a folding hardtop roof! :iagree:
