The rally was held in County Cork right down in the south west.
The first picture was taken about a mile into a regularity section where we had to maintain exactly 22 mph. That doesn't sound fast, but after the cows we turned off onto a really small road with blind hairpin corners. It was interesting making up the six minutes that we lost waiting for the cows!
The old man on the bike was really pleased to be able to have a chat with us while we waited!
The roads in Ireland are so much quieter than in the UK. We cruised at 80 on the motorways over there without having to slow at all. Still it was a 14 hour journey home, but that included two and a half hours on the ferry and a two hour wait for the ferry.
There were a lot more dramatic roads, but I didn't have a chance to take my hands off the wheel to take a picture.
Plenty of muck under the wings and quite a number of stone chips to repair now!
It was all fantastic fun. The Irish are just so friendly and enthusiastic. Just about every second car we passed, even on the motorway, tooted and waved.
