Hmmm, seems I have a choice to make. College, or... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Dude, you can always go to college!

Any unknown distant relatives waiting for the proper moment to release my enormous inheritance need to know that the time is now.

I'll take the set, please... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Makes you wonder, if you won the lottery how big of a garage would you build and how many MG's or collectable cars would you own?

My old stompin' grounds - lived across the state line in Shreveport for years, and don't remember hearing about the collection. Wish I'd known about it back then, if it was open to the public...

What a bunch of great toys to have!

Maybe it'll come up for auction again after I win the lottery!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winner1.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

Mr. Gene Ponder was in the kitchen cabinet business. I sold him, 17 years ago, my 1962 MGA MKII Deluxe. He didn't have a deluxe and bought my car for his collection. He sold my car several years ago to some one overseas. I was told he was selling off his cars and moving to another type of car( not sure which type) Oh how I wish I had my deluxe back.

you can see my deluxe here:

Are there pics of these or did I just miss them.

Go to "Events", then to "The Ponder Collection" and finally to "View Car List". There are three pages of photos there.

I have no words, well really I have a Bugeye and am alive to enjoy it. Ponder is gone poor guy and can no longer enjoy his. Hope he can not see his collection go on the block. Wouldn't that be a bummer.

Nice nice wheels there any one would be just fine thanks. My birthday is September.

He did NOT pass away. He is just changing directions. Sold his company off a few year back and now wants to enjoy his life with out the head ache of attending to all of these vehicles. If you view the collection, the Ferrari 212 is one of the cars that I built...hope it finds a nice home.
Cheers, David.

Oh, in that case tis a shame to need to let them go.

What direction is he going, is he talking?

Grats on a lovely 212 David.

Thanks very much. Yes he is fine, just does not want to spend all of his time with his motors.
I would love to have that Aston, or one of the early MG's.
I am not sure that I should tell anymore information about his future plans.
Cheers, David.

That's cause we would all jump on what he is going to collect and drive the prices up, LOL.

In any case nice wheels, he's going to miss them.
