Chuck was at the shop today, only took one picture and it's TERRIBLE, can't see the shinypretty at all! But here she is, with the old painted wheels and tires. Can't really see anything all! There is a tiny bit of 'reflection' on the trunk from the building and trees next door though!

Gee, that was easy huh? Who was that mad woman that fretted and worried and agonized over paint for months?

Whatcha looking for Noonie?

just decent close ups on things that people normally don't take pictures of.... I found a few things in yer album that helped me; like where the cowling/dash/wing/windsheld meet, and the fact that the area behind the rear bumper is recessed...

I'm making a 3D MGB Mk I on my computer, and things I thought I knew before (on my first try) turned out wrong. So, this time I'm making sure I get the details as correct as possible.

Basically, I'm just looking through your album and a couple others to get as much detail of the Mk I MGB as possible without inconveniencing Doc, Steve_S, or anyone else for that matter.

Nice work. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif

Lovely!

Not trying to be funny or otherwise but the picture does not show the actual color well. What color is it?

Thanks

Bruce

Greay. Don't ask me what shade of greay because we sprayed 3 or 4 before we decided on one. Officially, it's "4 Month Greay."

Hi JB,

The 'greay' is great and will really look cool with all the bits reinstalled! I couldn't resist adding some shine n' bling. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Cheers,
John

WHOA! Very cool John. It's much prettier shiny!!!

((now can you lose the ricer wheels and slap some chrome wires on it, we're debating over chrome=hubby and painted=me)
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tell chuck that you are creating a classy understated car with that paint job and chrome would just cheapen up the effect. Painted wheels are the way to go with what you're doing here.

If it were some bling color with 50 feet of shiny depth the chromes would look sweet. But a subtle grey with red interior just screams for simple painted wheels.

I completely agree.
