Well, sort of.
For those of you who may not have heard of Chef Gordon Ramsay, he’s a famous, successful and, shall we say outspoken, British Chef and restaurateur who’s been the subject numerous TV shows.
In one of his shows, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, he travels to failing restaurants to analyze their problems and implement a turnaround.
So, in one particular episode he visits a nice little seaside hotel/restaurant on the English Channel called The Sandgate, which he refers to as “a real life Fawlty Towers.”
Ok, so the owner isn’t actually a raving lunatic. But the place is crazy disorganized. And Chef Gordon is always up for a rant of his own.
BBC America’s schedule says The Sandgate episode will be playing tomorrow morning and a few more times in the coming weeks.
Sat, 12-22-07, 10:00 AM PST
Wed, 01-09-08, 3:00 PM PST
Thu, 01-10-08, 09:00 AM PST
Sat, 01-12-08, 12:00 noon PST
One cautionary note: Chef Ramsay’s language, if not his food, is very salty (Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson referred to him as “a professional swearing enthusiast”). Plus, BBC America, being both British and on cable, doesn’t bleep out as many expletives as normal US TV. Parental discretion is advised for those of delicate constitution.
