This was a scheme run by the News of the World to promote good driving and courtesy to other road users.
I can remember my dad having the badge on his car when I was growing up. Where it went I have no idea, it disappeared many moons ago.
Doing a search on google it is said the scheme was active in the mid 60's.
Going through a box of old paperwork I found an old hand typed letter

This is dated 1954 the year before I was born. My dad would have been nominated by someone he had helped on the side of the road,
I have managed to find a badge on EBay that is in mint never been fitted condition.

This will be fitted to the panther when it is finished.
