were driving home from Florida on the weekend and passed a test drive/ display somewhere along the route - very cool
 
These are neat, but as a replacement for the Spridget or Morgan, no way. Our weather gear is pretty basic and leaks like the proverbial sieve, but this thing doesn't have anything to keep you out of the weather. Try passing an 18 wheeler in the rain on one of those, no way!
 
I am generally not skeered by 18-wheelers. Stupidity I guess. I used to draft them on my little Honda CM450 and ride their "bow wakes." But I have to say, I would not go near a big rig in a Morgan 3-wheel. Heck, I think I might feel a little nervous next to a Honda.:smile:

Ps. No offense intended to 3-wheeler guys. I actually really like Morgan 3-wheelers.
 
3-wheelers were quite common in the UK, Germany and Italy in the 1950s, 1960s and maybe a little bit in the 1970s. Reliant was one of the best known UK makers, also better known by Britcar fans for the later 4 wheel Scimitar.

In general they were all found to be fundamentally dangerous to drive, especially on wet roads, and they died out. There were both types, two wheels in front, and two wheels behind - both were death-traps.
 
I got to hand it to them for thinkiong out of the box a bit. My personal view is the American car market is way behind cause when they get back to the drawing board they always start with the average thinking of 4 wheels. I had a 3 wheeler when I was a kid and have to say Im surprised Im alive today. Even numbers seem to work better then odd. Still kinda cool but Im sure the price tag isnt to attractive.
 
I saw one of these not 10 minutes ago at an intersection. Don't understand the allure at first glance, having been an avid biker I'll take 2 wheels over 3 any day, heck, I'll take 2 over 4 for that matter on most days (nice weather).
 
It's just a motorcycle for those who can't remember to put a foot down at a stop sign! ;-)
Which one of us who's ridden a bike hasn't fogotten that at least once?
