The British Government have announced there is no deal with the Chinese and
MG Rover have called in the receivers.

and they were back for only 4 years... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Gee maybe MOSS can sell both auction posters as a set now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Maybe Moss could buy the MG name from the receivers and use the new MGB body shells to build new MGs with an American engine and tranny! With gas at $2.50 a gallon, how about a turbocharged Ford 3.0 V-6 (which is, I believe, actually a British design)? I would be more than willing to buy shares in a new, Moss-owned MG company. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Not a bad idea, if MOSS could bet BMW to throw in the "original tooling" from Graydon it'd be a real sweet deal. The product liability insurance is of course the big downside. Wonder id you could get enough capital from LBC nuts and investors to mount a serious operation. I'd by a couple of shares.

OK...looks like we need to start it up outselves...who can get MOSS to go for the idea??? I will start working on the IPO (Initial Public Offering) of the stock...maybe an initial offering price of $10 a share will be affordable for all interested...

now all we need to do is get it past the Government???

Ten dollars a share for say 50 million shares to start. Well, I've heard of crazier schemes.

MOSS's problem might be manufacture in CA. Would production have to be moved to another state?

The government would be the easy part, its getting GM, Daimler, and Ford not to crush you like a bug that would be hard.

So, where do I buy MGRover stock again? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
