The Black Cat (1934). Boris Karloff. (Probably the deepest of the 1930s horror films you'll ever see: satanism, torture, psychology, necrophilia, etc. Plus WW1 history, prison camps, modern architecture - and a Shakespearean comic duo for a few laughs).
