Re: The Most Beautiful MGB - 1962 Jaque Coune Coup
I've never really liked them - always thought they were poorly designed - rear part that is...seems a waste of a lot of space back there...I like what MG came up with instead! But, to each his own.
Re: The Most Beautiful MGB - 1962 Jaque Coune Coup
Well, the MGB GT was a practical sports tourer. The Coune design is more of a sports car design. Same car underneath though. I think the kind of person who would buy the Coune Berlinette would be someone who wanted a Ferrari style design in a British car. Not that the MGB is anything like a Ferrari of course.
Re: The Most Beautiful MGB - 1962 Jaque Coune Coup
Wow! I love it, front, rear, side, ALL of it. Looks very Italian, if you ask me. If that body had come from a certain factory in northern Italy with horsey badge on the nose and small V-12 in it it would be worth ten times the price it is now. All I know is if I hit the Powerball that sucker is going to be on the first boat headed west across the Atlantic!
Yeah but Steve, you could buy it as an investment for your old age, when your too old to drive it. You could then set in your big old easy chair and admire it. You've got to look ahead! Gee!
Re: The Most Beautiful MGB - 1962 Jaque Coune Coup
Where's the edit button for the original post? I'll put the photo back that was in the original post one more time, plus Mr. Coune with his car. Don't know why the first ones disapeared?
