The Last of the Austin-Healeys?

Haven't been posting much lately - my computer and software are so old and outdated, it's a hassle, but this is kind of interesting, so thought I'd try - An Austin Healey described in the RM Auctions catalog as "reportedly one of the last 50 Austin-Healeys sold by Mr. Healey after he decided to close the plant" sold for $72,500 June 29 in Anaheim, California. It was part of a 200-car collection being sold off by broadcasting magnate Art Astor. With the auction house fees, the total price was $79,750, as reported on the RM website. In a correspondence with Steve Byers last month, 41357 is 1,669 from the end, but because of the circumstances of another car in the registry, there is a possibility a car could have been shipped much later than its manufacture date. But if having the last or near to the last car manufactured, shipped or sold is important to a buyer, it certainly would be prudent to verify the facts before parting with all that cash!
