Some years back, I had an extra Tr3 I wanted to sell on. A buyer was found down in Phoenix , but shipping was
an issue. We finally hit on the idea of meeting halfway in Tucumcari Nm. That week I carefully packed up the car and parts
onto a borrowed trailer, parking it at the owner's house for the next 5 days until we could make the trip down to New Mexico.
It was clockwork. We met our buyer at a motel 6 the next morning, backing one trailer up to the other. The car rolled easily
onto his trailer from mine. Then we started to go through the parts in the boot. Lifting the lid , I was horrified , an enormous pack rat
had made a home in the box with the wiring. As I looked at him,and he at me, a blue haired granny came out of the
exit of the Motel with her toy poodle. The rat lept out looking for Kansas, the poodle jumped for the rat looking for blood. Granny chased
her dog screaming, as the rat went berserk running from car to car, every which way to elude the poodle. By now, we were all laughing so hard
we couldn't speak.!! We were very glad when granny finally caught her dog and stopped yelling. Don't know where the rat ended up.
My wife and I are still giggling 35 years latter!
