The Grammys Why I don't watch them.

Natalie Cole never got a mention when tributes were made for past performers and their achievements. A great singer and I still enjoy listening to her dad, the one and only. Hollywood, a pool of fakes hiding among the greats! :soapbox:

I have one Natalie Cole album and two Nat King Cole albums, good stuff!

The Grammys make me feel like a geezer. I'm SO disconnected from most of it that I won't watch it (though I don't generally watch awards ceremonies).

I don't watch them because they are crap.

I didn't watch them either, but did see a clip on TV later of Adele (who I really like) singing a song and had a couple technical issues. First, her mic went dead for a shot time and then a small microphone fell into the piano and was making a twanging noise as it bounced around on the piano wires. Adele was a real trooper and didn't miss a beat. She later Tweeted that "stuff" happens and she said afterwards she went out and treated herself to a burger.

I didn't watch because my kids had a Nana and an Oma - let some other family watch their Grammy!

OTOH only 24.95 million people watched - lowest since 2009 - so, there must be lots of Nanas out there!

Never would watch them as the groups now do not sing but have to put dance and crap in the song to actually make it watchable. Want to go back to real singers like Beetles, Stones< Who, Moody Blues. Dion, Roy Orbison and ones who actually have melody in the song.

Agreed. And much of this cRAP (talking) music is foul... really foul.

DW wanted to watch it to see who the new "artists" [I use the term very loosely here] were who she's been hearing about. A general waste of time.

I don't call or even associate RAP with music. Any dumb *** can stand up and talk to rhythm and foot stomping. Problem is, seems like the kids don't know the difference! I guess it's a "Me Too" thing, to be noticed. In my book, :stupid:. PJ

When visiting Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and few years ago was disgusted that so many Rap groups were in. Never considered them R&R. Missing groups that are still touring and are R&R Moody Blues, GrassRoots to name two that have been shunned.
