I grew up without an appreciation for those two, thinking the humor was dated. Then I watched Stan & Ollie and oh my goodness how wrong can one person be. The only elements that seem dated (besides being in B&W) are the slightly slower pacing and the "takes" to the camera (which seem to be coming back in vogue). Such brilliant humor does not fade.
