The excitement never ends around here....

Up early this am to paddle off into our assigned territory for the all-important Maine Audubon LOON COUNT. The only loons around at the time and place were the two of us, so our result was zero.

Got back to the dock and naturally there were two adults (loons) & two young'ns about 25 yards away.

The official count was zero, since we saw them outside our time window. Oh well, maybe next year.....
