BIBBER: I love your signoff. I have always thought Handsome was temporary and Handy was forever. Lucky me, hubby is handy and still handsome in my eyes.

FULL expenses, chuck! FULL! He tries to make a profit off his expense money....

Alas.. shortly after I discovered Red Green, the local PBS station quit airing the show.
HOW CHEAP IS THAT???
I consider myself to be moderatly cheap. Nothing like some of the above examples, but still....
Like right now, I'm refurbishing a hoover Vacuume that they threw out at work. It's got a few minor issues that I've already taken care of, but mainly it just needed to be cleaned up. Got a shop-vac, a Milwaulkee hammer drill and an industrial heat gun the same way
I guess half of it's being cheap, and the other half is not being able to stand people throwing away good mechanical/electrical items that I know I can fix easily

Another Red Green Fan Here! If you like him, try watching ... Are You Bieng Served {P.B.S.} It`s Halarious as well. {Britt Humor} Cracks me up.

already do...PBS carries much more in programming that I prefer over most the cable/local networks...Can't wait to go see Mr Bean's Holiday at the theaters this week as well.....

I try to be cheap (if possible)on motel rooms & stuff like that, but I will spend money on my cars when I need to.
Sometimes the cheapest way/part isn't cheapest in the long run.
Tony,I don't understand how anyone on an expense account
could gouge like that. It's still payed for by the US taxpayers.I wish Government employees would remember that when driving official vehicles (usually in excess of the posted speed limit).

Doug - & its not like we're talking big bucks here either! Uncle Sam gives you $39 a day to eat in the Watertown area! & he's trying to make money on that! $7 breakfast at Cracker Barrel, $5 lunch at Burger King, $10 dinner at Applebees & you still have pocket change left over!! Or, if you're fighting the war at night like I was: $10 dinner at Applebees on way to simulation center, $6 midnight breakfast at local truck stop & a snack before going to bed around 8am & you have even more pocket change!! But what he wanted was $1.10 breakfast at dining facility, $2.10 midnight snack there, $2.30 dinner at same place & then tried to stuff extras in box to take back to hotel room....& he got perturbed when we didn't do what he wanted!

Ok... how about someone that drives a vehicle that gets about 24mpg. Instead of buying gas at the closest (albeit not cheapest) place at say, $2.89/gal he drives 12 miles to the place that is $2.75/gal. He usually puts about 16 gallons of fuel in, for a savings of $2.24... but it cost him a gallon of fuel to get there and back. So in effect he spends $2.75 to save $2.24!

Whew.

I know soooo many people who do that. I also know many people who will top up just because they saw a low price-several times a week just because its twelve cents cheaper than two days ago. I'll occasionally do this, if I'm around half a tank or less and am not near my local stations.
