Fess-Up

Lots of rumors about midnight activities in the Abbington castings facility.
(where 1762 blocks were allegedly made in small numbers)

And.....About putting 'squeeze boxes' on twin cams.
(this was done on several occasions)

So anybody have one of these in the back of the shed?.........
The holy grail of MGA engines

A................ Midnight Special Super-Twinkie

"Stirling Moss captured five Class F records with speeds as high as 245.6 mph. Two years later, with the engine bored out and even more highly tuned, Phil Hill broke six Class E records in EX181 with a top speed of 254.9 mph." from the following: https://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:Adj...lient=firefox-a

In a 4 cylinder MGA, in the late 1950's, imagine that!

What an amazingly long run for an engine that saw little change from the MGA of about 1955 to Oct 1980 when the last MGB rolled off the assembly line.

From X-Flow Derrington heads, Superchargers & Twin cam engines,
The B series engine was used to test all kinds of wonderful ideas.
