Darth Vader - R.I.P

My faith in humanity is restored. Not having received a reply to my e-mail regarding the computer problem, I sent the e-mail via fax first thing this morning. Shortly thereafter I received a call from the company's owner. Short story we made arrangements for me to bring it whilst I am on tour. He agreed with my sentiments, said I was not wrong but very correct in their ability to transfer the operating system, programs and documents at the last full back-up on the D drive. He also agreed that when the technician saw two hard drives he should have either called or looked at the drives to determine if indeed there was a full back-up. He also said I was correct in that the technician flunked People Skills 101. In conversation he passed the remark that what with all the talk of unemployment woes he cannot get the qualified people that he needs and that when he does it doesn't matter what he pays them, they seem to find other more profitable positions. He said good techs are scarcer than hen's teeth.

End result I have no doubts that I will be a satisfied end user of the marvel of the century - the computer!

I almost sound like Polyanna.

P.S. Experienced VAPOR LOCK. Now I know all about it, didn't need to experience it, won't let it happen again. 100 degrees is not a happy situation for an Austin Healey. Wasn't my choice but will never let it happen again. That's my story and I don't wish to say any more! Thank you.

glad it worked out - hurray!
