I'm restoring a 1962 TR4 and this bumper came with the car, but does not fit it. Any ideas what car it fits?

Don't think it is from a TR3... the TR2-3B bumpers have overriders (bumper guards) about 16-18" in from the ends, these appear to be much further out. Also, the shape of the overrider is quite different.

Midget? MG1100?

could it be an Italia bumper?

anyone?

My guess is early sprite, but in the long run it doesn matter, you need a new bar and guards this will never fit. I hope you were doing the front end, they can be found for a fair price along with the guards.

Harold,
I only have 2 pics of the Italia and they indicate that the overiders on your bumper are too far to the ends and of a different size and shape. Your bumper certainly appears to be a nice one that surely someone could use.

P.S. Begging your pardon but it may be time to cut out the carbs since you can no longer see your shoelaces.
