Saturday the 10th, Metrolina MG Car Club members enjoyed a beautiful drive through the countryside. Several MGB roadsters, couple of GTs, one hardtop B, a Spitfire GT6, one new red Camaro convertible and an SUV left Matthews, NC about 10:30 and arrived at a good Mexican restaurant near Albemarle for lunch. As the crow flies, it's just about 35 miles, but our tour was 65 miles, and included some terrific roads with curves, hills and bridges - several one-lane. The weather was good, the tour was fantastic, lunch was excellent, and the company was most enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better day, all thanks to a guy and his lady who are mainstays of the club - he is also a knowledgeable member of this forum. All in all, a great day to own an MG.

Sorry no photos - I had every intention of taking my camera, but apparently someone said "Oh look! A squirrel!" just at the wrong time. :redface-new: Maybe our tour leader will post one or two...
