They are definitely a more rowdy lot in Bournemouth. That would never happen in Eastbourne; the aged populace that lives there wouldn't have the strength to do that.
Strange but true . . . the English have somewhat of a history of this sort of thing. Looting and mayhem arose during the great fire of London in 1666, to the dismay of the King.
Happened during the blitz in WWII, also, a bit of looting after the bombing. Also happened in the sixties with labor protests.
It's happening again now, on a big scale. Maybe somewhat of a trend, you might say.
