The BJ8 is ready to drive, MAYBE?

After 3 months the BJ8 is back from the painter. I have reassembled the chrome, interior, lights, etc. Of course on the first day of driving, I hung the exhaust up on my friends driveway, and have just finished installing new front pipes and mountings (with a little help from the local muffler shop). So I am ready to drive.
Whoops, now the starter wants to just spin on about every fourth or fifth attempt. Where in the heck is that hammer? Don't know if it is just a weak bendix or what?

Hi Shorn, I hope it is the bendix, maybe it just needs a bit of cleaning up.However, it just might be the ring gear.---FWIW---Keoke

If you plan on driving to the eastside, say to go to your golf club, then let me know. I would love to meet you and get a good look and your car.....
