The BIG 40!

I just realized that my BJ8 turns 40 in a couple of weeks. I think I'll give her a fresh sump of oil, lube her up and grease her splines. Then I'll take her for a ride down her favorite No Calif road, the Pacific Coast Highway. If you can't spoil them on their birthday, when can you?

Anyone else celebrating a big one with their Healey?
Cheers

Hi Randy,
I don't know if 50 is a big one, but some years ago, I never dreamed that I would be driving around in such an old car. It's build date is March 29, 1956.

Happy "Big 40" to you and your car!

The big one for my Healey was last Friday when she came home from her second engine rebuild in a row, the first one of which began in February 2004 and started disintegrating from the get go, so she's been on and off the road (mostly off) and in and out of the shop (mostly in) for the last two years.

It was supposed to be storming here today in So Cal, but it turned out to be a really nice day, so we went for a ride up and down Pacific Coast Highway here in the southern part of the state - not as scenic as Northern Cal, but a lot of fun!

Hi Sharon,
I'm really glad to hear the good news. It seems like it has been forever. Hope you really get to enjoy the car again. No one should have to go through such an experience.
Regards,
D
