So for the last two months I've been putting every available extra minute into redoing the interior of my 100-6. I made all of the interior panels, covered them, recovered the dash, put the new seats in, new steering wheel, installed the new carpet, rebuilt the curtains, - a lot of you folks over on the Healey forum know all of this, because you've told me how to do much of it. I kept the pressure on myself by setting a goal of taking the car over to Lewes, Delaware to their annual British car show on May 2nd. So what do I do on the last evening I needed to work on the car to finish it? Tore a major muscle where it connects to my back behind my left shoulder.... Haven't been able to sit or stand for a week, since last Tuesday. It's just now starting to feel better to the point where I can stand up, or sit for a brief period of time. I don't really care about the show, I never expect our Healeys to win awards, it was more the reward of taking the car and my best girl (wife) for an extended getaway weekend with it looking so much better than it has in years. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, I'm starting to feel better, and the car looks great - at least to me!!!

Was anybody at the Lewes show? Did it rain? Were there many cars there?

Well this might seem like a hard lesson but just remember there will always be another show!!--Keoke

Yeah, I know - I really just wanted to run the car out for an extended trip! That's the most fun to me :yesnod:

And Larry, I was going to ask you how the show was. I got tied up in work, but didn't trust the WX to stay dry in any event. Really sorry to hear about the muscle pull, suspect ice is your best friend along with strong meds. Looking forward to seeing your interior redo.

Hi, Dale - Yep, heat, ice, drugs - been my recent best friends. Now I'm trying something else, we'll see. Are you going to any of the early summer shows around here?

America On Wheels was having our first Park 'N Perk last Saturday at 7:30 am. There was coffee and donuts on hand, but gray, drizzly skies. I arrived at 7:35 and was the second car there. About 9:30 the rain picked up and the show basically disbursed and we were cleared out before the scheduled 10:30 ending. So all the planning and publicity did not garner anything like Cars and Coffee attendance, but we did have a start anyway...maybe June 6 will do better!!!

Don't sell yourself short. From what I've heard, Cars and Coffee (originally Crystal Cove) was an Austin Healey and 2 old Chevy trucks. So you're right on track.

Hi, Dave - so your Park 'N Perk is near Allentown?
