TR2/3/3A The "air vent"on the lower part of the front apron below the grille....

....you see these on racer TR3's because the lower part of the apron blocks about 1/3 of the air flow to the rad. Does anyone know of a source for these "vents?
 
i just drilled 3 2 1/2 " holes.
 
That's what I did too a few years back. I put some mesh behind the holes to keep out debris. Seeing as how I didn't line up the holes evenly I thought I might be able to find a better looking vent to hide my amateur hole saw work. :eagerness:
 
Please post picture of where you placed the holes. Thanks! Also, would an air dam in the front do the same thing? I fabricated an air dam and it seems to direct air to the lower part of the radator. I attached some pictures.

I'm having no luck posting pictures but maybe tinman has a photo he can post? An air dam would work to get air to the lower rad and you wouldn't have to cut the apron.
 
Mine (when it was raced)had an opening below the grill to help with the oil cooler that was installed
