I told myself I would not get into it ... I would just pace around behind the pack. But I qualified with guys behind me, and the guy in front of me wasn't going to get away from me, and the guy behind me wasn't going to get past me. After 15 years I thought the "red-mist" had evaporated ... but it didn't.
It was a fantastic event, but ended a little soon against the wall.
Not sure if this is proper forum etiquette, but there is more and pictures here;

I feel your pain, Mike. I've been doing this for nearly 40 years, and the red mist just never seems to totally evaporate. Hopefully, when you do the complete damage assessment, it will be better than it looks.
The day I rolled the Bugeye, people couldn't understand why I was laughing about it. I was laughing because it kept me from crying!

Hi Mike:

Yeah,we're never quite sure of forum etiquette in this kind of a case either.....it's sort of "your call".

Anyway, your link is a bit off (unless you copy/paste), so I am linking it ~~HERE~~ (so it's easier for others to view).

I've ~Biffed The Wall~ at Watkins Glen...never any fun!

Some of my VRG pals have been up to Mosport and have really enjoyed it. I have only run Shannonville (Ontario) and hope to get to other Canandian tracks (Mosport and Mt. Tremblant) in the future.

Alas, I have two weddings to pay for in the last 12 months (each of my daughters), so no $$ for "international" racing right now. Meanwhile, I'll still run around 8 or 9 club-racing weekends in '06 (with EMRA) plus the VRG Pittburgh event at BeaveRun next weekend.

Your car looks great. Good luck "bringing it back" to race condition and fixing the wheel!

Yeah, some things never change. The "wall smudge" kinda makes me twitch... but at least it's FRONT damage and not the unibody bits. Small consolation I realise but still, front fenders are easier to replace than rear ones.
