1600 cc of low slow and auto

It actually was a little old lady's car 23,000 mls on it. It came from St Louis a bit over a year ago. When she passed away her grandson got it and then sold it to a guy here in Ontario and my son bought it from him on Sat.

Nice find. I had a Squarback ions ago.

Your car would have been a big hit at our local ~Aircooled Show~ here in NJ last week. I missed it (I was racing), but one of my students brought his 914 and said it was very cool. Classic VWs are still very popular (at least around her).

I drove a VW bus to college. If I ever win the lottery, I want a lowered 23 window Kombi with a 2200 motor. :laugh:

some nice pics from 06 Nial. My daughter always wanted a buggy but has to settle for driving wife's 87 cabriolet.

"Go ~low tech~!!!"

...hard to kill, easy to maintain. Gets ya from here to there, and BACK.

Willie;

That's cool!
My brother had a squareback in the 60'S. Great gas mileage and lots of room for.......... fill in the blanks.
So when it's all up to shape and running, is a road trip to my place in the plan?

Dave :savewave:

it could well be Dave, she is going into storage from the 1st of nov--1st of april and I will take the front fenders off and repair them and get it ready for paint during the winter and then paint it in the spring.

I knew a guy who bought one new in '73-or'74.
It was Burnt Orange with reversed chrome rims,&
pinsrtiping on it.Very nice car!.
