Being thankful for what we have, large or small. Happy Thanksgiving all!

Tom

Tom, and all...

May we in this time of many questions as to our future remember our many blessings and give thanks for them, and give thanks for our many friendships in this forum too.

Happy Thanksgiving (I don't have any cool photos to share from early Thanksgiving recreations, but that OSV photo looks great)

I'm here at work- in the present economic climate that's something worthy of a lttle thanks... :yesnod:

no celebrations for me until the weekend.

Then Turkey leftovers 'til Christmas and beyond!!!! :hammer: :wall:

A very happy Thanksgiving to all. Weather it be with actual pilgrims or with the modern decendants thereof... I'd fill this page with things I'm thankful for, but I'll just leave it at "I'm thank-full" Gotta go make my dish-to-pass, and it's off to dinner! yummy, yummy, yummy......

Even in times of trouble, if we set aside our regrets and seek out the things to be thankful for, our outlook can only brighten!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

<span style="color: #660000">The Mrs and I are too ill to cook a big dinner
or even get dressed to go out for a restaurant turkey. The
young couple helping us out, skeedaddled at noon to be with
their own relatives. So we took it easy this afternoon.

They skeedaddled back our way at 6:00 PM, loaded down with plates
of great Thanksgiving food, special get-well soup from Grannie,
and homemade apple pie with PEEcan crust.

A grand Thanksgiving was had by all.

And who says we aren't blessed. We were a small group today but an enthusiastic one as we had the usual Thanksgiving Day fare. Even the weather was spectacular. Thunder and lightening and all while it snowed!

I am thankful for many things, including hearing that Dale & Wendy had a nice traditional meal today. And that they were able to eat it.

OOOff.. I'm stuffed.... good sized family gathering, lots of food, and a rare occourance... There was snow on the ground wayyyy up on the hill where my aunt and uncle live (where we had dinner) so my Dot and two of her cousins spent 2 hours prior to dinner sledding and having the grandest snowball fight ever! then we went in, got warm and fed, played some music with guitars, and the kids romped around all evening.... What a great time!

For once I didn't over eat and feel much better for it. The whole family was together this year for a change. Suprisingly all went smoothly. Trational T'Day fair. Only thing missing was Pecan Pie. Oh well, the Doc say I shouldn't eat things that sweet anyway. But then, what does he know?
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

What do docs know?

Long time ago, 99 year old George Burns was on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. Johnny asked George "You've been in show business for almost a century. How do you do it?"

George Burns: "Well, about 40 years ago my doc told me to give up cigars, liquor, and chasing women."

Johnny: "But George, you're almost 100 years old, and you still smoke, drink, and play around with women. What does your doctor say now?"

George: "Doesn't say anything. He died 20 years ago."

Be thankful all!

Thanksgiving is so much fun when there's a little one around to enjoy it with....2-1/2 year old grandson & I went out ot pick up pecans y'day afternoon & he quickly learned to use me pecan 'picker upper'...we got back in the house about the time it was getting dark & he asked "Mimi" if he could have another piece of pie with her homemade whipped cream...I walked into the dining room & there he sat all by himself eating a piece of pie with his sippy cup full of tea....he even asked me if I wanted a piece! Daughter & son-in-law got out & played football while he & I were picking up pecans....yep, family is what it's all about!!

And if we have no blood family, we count each and every
friend as a blessing. Wendy and I are blessed indeed to
have so many friends.

It has been written a man is lucky to attain 70 years and
have 5 trusted friends. I just hit 60 and have more friends that one foot of toes.
